For sale is a US Model 1903 Springfield rifle with original bayonet. This rifle was produced in 1917, and maintains it's original 3-17 dated barrel, a month before the US declared war on Germany. This rifle has not been refinished or commercially altered, and has a worn surface finish on exterior surfaces, with good bluing below the stock. The bore is dark in the grooves, with sharp rifling and has not been counterbored. I have fired this rifle on several occasions without issue, and it shoots well.

The FJA inspected USGI rifle stock is in good structural condition (no cracks or splits), with dings and dents as seen in the pictures. The included bayonet is an original 1918 dated Springfield produced bayonet, which comes with a WWII era US marked scabbard. The rifle also comes with a later WWII front sight cover, which is easily removable depending on how you like the configuration. In this configuration (long bayonet with front sight cover), it is representative of what the USMC would have carried during the early part of WWII.

Overall a nice example of a WWI dated 1903 Springfield that has not been commercially refinished or assembled. The rifle will also come with a modern reproduction 1907 sling. I will not split the bayonet and rifle up.

Asking 2000$. Non restricted and PAL will be verified.
