Cooey Model 840, 20 Gauge Single Shot Full Choke

Cooey 840 in 20 gauge. 28" barrel, full choke, chambered for 2-3/4" and 3". Serial 42154. Built in Cobourg, Ontario by Cooey under Winchester-Western (Canada) — production ran from 1967 to 1979.
Condition is good — typical handling marks for its age, wood is solid with no cracks, action breaks cleanly, ejector snappy as they always are. Bore is shiny. Note: full fixed choke means lead shot only — no steel. Fine for grouse, rabbits, gophers, anything you'd take with a 20.
These are the rifle every Canadian farm kid learned on. Simple, durable, made here. The 20 gauge versions are a bit less common than the 12s and slightly more collectable. Hard to beat for the money if you want a first-gun, a truck-gun, or a wall-hanger that still shoots.

This firearm shows honest wear, is priced accordingly, and has not been used in >40 years.
