WWII GERMAN 80mm MORTAR SHELL This shell is known as the 8cm Granatwerfer 34 it was the standard German infantry mortar throughout World War II. It was noted for its accuracy and rapid rate of fire. This 81.4mm or 8cm 3.5KG. shell (high explosive or smoke) with percussion fuzzes had an effective range of 400-1200M with a max range of 2.4KM or 1.5 miles. It had a muzzle velocity of 571ft/sec. A total of 74,336,000 rounds were produced from 1939-1945. It fired approximately 530g (about 1.17 lb.) of high explosive material and had a service history from 1937-1952. This 3d printed mortar has been hand painted and crafted to exacting standards and is a full size reproduction of the real thing!! It would be great for any military shell collection or German WWII collection, or used in re-enactments or with that latest model you built to show what the real shell looked like beside your diorama. The price is firm and you won't be disappointed they are weathered and look awesome!! Pick the one you like, the brass shell in the photos is a .50cal BMG to show a size reference only and it looks small!!
