This is an 1830 Pattern Royal Navy Officers sword. It is complete in every aspect including the original leather scabbard. The blade is heavily etched and shows the cipher for Queen Victoria as well as other nautical symbols.

It is the model with the fold down arm which prevents damage to the uniform. The blade is 31 inches and approximately 1 inch at the throat. Blade is in mint condition. The maker is Burtel & Company (?) of Hanover Street/Regent Street London W. The crest showing the maker was part of the Guild in London wo were authorized to blades for both army and navy. This is a rare blade in museum quality.
