FOR SALE - ROYAL NAVY OFFICERS SWORD - 1836

This is an officers sword from the time of William the IV. This sword is in immaculate condition complete with original scabbard. Both are pristine. The sword was made by the firm of Batten & Adams of Devonshire and is the 1836 Pattern. The blade is fully etched with crown cypher, and numerous naval markings. The blade is 31 inches long and 3/4 inch wide at the throat. It has double grooves along the blade on both sides. The guard has the turn down arm to aide in securing the blade while in the scabbard. Original sword knot completes the unit. It is very uncommon and very collectable.
