This is an Antique Manhattan Navy Series IV Percussion Revolver.  This series revolver was produced from 1864 to 1867. This has a 5 shot .36 caliber cylinder with roll engravings and extra cylinder safety stops. The roll engraving remains above 30% visible. It has a 4” octagon barrel with the barrel address being about 40% visible. The grips have an expected amount of handling dings for its age and a small sliver missing at the top of the left grip. The loading lever seems to be a replacement. The barrel wedge is a loose fit. There is light pitting found throughout this item with some heavy pitting found on the frame. Mechanically this item is in fine working condition with strong springs, proper timing and lockup. The Manhattan’s were almost an exact copy of Colt’s of the era with the exception of a few added features.  Although most copies of the time were of poor quality the Manhattan Firearms Company made a good quality product. Some would say that they were even better quality than the Colts that they were copying.  This Manhattan would make a great addition to any collection or would also be a great first piece to a future collection.
This is an antique so no PAL is required for purchase. Buyer must be 18 and able to prove it. Shipping is available at buyers expense. All used firearms should be inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to any form of use.
