Parting with my fully functional collector quality Colt 1878 revolver that I've had for 3 years, with extra grips and ammo easily available. At one point I wanted to keep her forever but due to a recent big purchase have decided I'd rather have some cash now, so my loss is your gain. Feel free to call or text 4033610277 any time to get more info. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. Comes with factory papers, original rampaging Colt emblem black grips, and modern repro white grips. Can work ammo in if you are interested and have PAL.

These were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber alternative to the new Colt 1877s model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. You can read more about the model here: https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/colt-1878-revolver/

It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. All serials match, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement but locks up the cylinder nicely as it should.

This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice high polish black finish which is hard for pictures to fully capture. The visual condition speaks for itself. An absolutely stunning piece

The mechanics are strong with all four clicks very nicely present in the hammer. The cylinder timing is reliable and it locks up airtight, and although I hardly fire it because it's such a nice piece the accuracy is great with a 3" group at 10 yards.

A beautiful collector piece and functional revolver. Don't be a stranger, feel free to call or text if you have any questions.

I make no claims about the safety of shooting ANY antique. Check with a gunsmith!
