price drop from 3700 Oct 5 Selling my fully function, ready to use antique, all matching Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 single action revolver chambered in the popular and reliable .44 Russian round. No PAL needed, call or text 4033610277. Build off the Schofield model and the later No. 3 Russian model, the S&W No. 3 line of revolvers were extremely popular and well renowned in America and beyond among cattlemen, infantrymen, and sharpshooters. Rounds can be purchased in cowboy loads from www.rustywood.ca or reloaded using cut down .44 magnum or .44 special brass. As an antique, this handgun requires no licensing or registration to buy or own in Canada. Do your own legal research!

This particular example is serial number 270XX, dating its manufacture to the early-mid 1890s, as production started in 1878. The mechanics are extremely strong with a well indexing and timing cylinder, strong hammer, and beautiful sharp rifling. The 7" barrel has extremely strong rifling and makes for a very accurate shot. The ejector functions great. It has some minor wiggle of the top break latch but indexes nicely and gets tight for firing. The internals are in great shape, no rusting or missing parts. Strong mainspring and trigger spring, and the hamme cocks to all 3 positions as it should.

Visually, the overall look is fair. The frame still shows crisp factory polishing marks near the cylinder. All markings and writing is well defined, with the full 2 line address reading "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. USA" and all the patent dates on top of the barrel. The outward facing parts of the frame look like they have been given a home job finish treatment, resulting in an "antiqued" grey/brown patina. The original wood grips are still strong, but show evidence of plenty of use in some cowboy's hand. If only thos revolver could talk about the things it's seen in its 130 years on earth. An excellent and dependable example from a world renowned manufacturer.
