For sale is an antique model 1878 Swiss revolver in 10.4mm swiss. These are big, nice revolvers used by the Swiss before they changed to the diminutive Swiss 1882s. Asking $1649
It looks to retain the majority of its original bluing and developed a nice patina throughout and still has some strawing on its internals! Now comes the reason for the asking price being significantly lower than usual for one of these rare beasts. For whatever reason, the barrel is easy to unscrew on this one and there's a small gouge in the barrel , the extractor is missing as well. With the barrel removed the mechanics are nice, single and double action work exactly as they should and are tight. However with the barrel screwed in I think it interferes with their functioning. Everything before the barrel is nice. All numbers match.
