Antique status Webley model 1 1/2 in .442 

Literally the halfway point between the no.1 pre RIC and the no.2 bulldog. 
It’s a very interesting step in the evolution of the revolver. 
The finish is a beautiful nickel plating that’s 95%. I do believe this is original as all the markings are crisp enough I don’t think it’s an aftermarket job. 

Rifling is clean and strong, springs are crisp. This definitely isn’t an overly used revolver. 

 the lockup is what it’s is supposed to be. The timing locks are as you can see protrusions on the outer rim of the cylinder. This is a design that didn’t produce as strong of a lock when the pistol is in battery hence why it quickly fell out of use as a design. 

Absolutely beautiful example of this harder to find revolver. A great addition to any British historical collection.
