Beautifully simple rare (only 6000 made) Swiss designed and built revolver. This revolver is so elegantly simple it only has a whopping 5 internal parts that does all the magic with only one spring(the mainspring) in the entire gun doing all the work even with features such as single action, double action, trigger reset and an auto rebounding hammer!

By comparison even a simple colt single action army without all these features has 4 springs and 4 times as many parts. 

The Swiss 1878 is unique among revolvers as it is a gateless gate loader, using a interesting indexing system to allow cases to be held in place without the need for a loading gate. Disassembly is stupid simple with advanced user friendly features such a captive screw and hinged swing out plate allowing for easy cleaning and disassembly in the field with disassembly order being kindly numbered on each piece.

As for the firearm itself, it has been arsenal refinished with no signs of pitting or oxidation excluding only the barrel where moderate black powder pitting is present but with strong distinct rifling. Lockup is good with the cylinder star not having been ever peened so lots of shooting life left in this gun. Has the original grips which are in great condition with no chips. 

For accessories The firearm comes with a double cavity 10.4 mm Swiss bullet mold, 41 magnum die set, and 70ish 41 magnum brass that needs to be trimmed to length. Will also include 50 projectiles.
