Main Description: Blade front sight, u notched ladder peep sight, tapered round barrel in the white with initials F.C.W VP Eagle Proof mark, dated 1863, colour case hardened lock with Eagle US and 1864 date with checkered spur hammer that functions, nipple intact, uses musket caps. One piece full military wood stock, straight grip, smooth curved steel butt plate, tang marked US, finger rest steel trigger guard, two barrel bands, sling swivels, bayonet lug, steel ramrod, left side of stock around front lock screw bushing is chipped and cracked.
Wear: Metal finish shows some light pitting, a few light rust speckles, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stock shows some marks, scratches and wear.
