So this rifle has led a troubled life. It's first owner gave it up after getting a cleaning brush jammed in it, leaving it to rust. Beyond this, he had completely disassembled the lock and stripped the frizzen spring screw in doing so.
She was my first flintlock - got the brush out, the lock reassembled and the frizzen screw rebored and replaced (there's now a scuff on the main spring but that doesn't effect anything). After much sanding and oiling, the rust in the bore and around the touch hole has stopped but the pitting remains.
She is not the most beautiful gun in the world. BUT she sparks well enough when oiled and I have shot her a few times with no problems. A great starter gun to play around with and learn the ropes, without investing too much. Or a cheap and cheerful wall hanger!
No PAL required as a flintlock.
Happy to ship at cost, or for collection.
