Winchester 1894 made in 1897, custom order from the factory in 32-40. 32-40 was John Wayne's favorite calibre. Deluxe pistol grip stock with crescent butt plate. Perfect bore, crisp rifling, bright and shiny. Lifter still has majority of bluing. This rifle was barely used and was cleaned properly to remove the corrosive powder residue from the powder and primers. Action is crisp and tight. Forend has beautiful grain and looks amazing. Stock has a couple of beaver teeth sized chunks removed on one side. Has a good amount of bluing and patina. Overall 8/10 rifle. Vintage reloading equipment and brass still available for the 32-40.
