Selling my pride and joy, my M1C sniper clone.

The M1C was the first attempt at production of a sniper rifle variant of the garand. During 1944 the US Military wanted to start replacing the 1903 sniper variant with the semi auto garand. This model saw very limited service in WW2 and was mostly used in Korea until it was replaced by the much better know M1D.

This rifle falls OUT of the 3.2 to 3.8 million serial number range, which I did on purpose so that no one would try and sell this as an authentic rifle. It features a 1955 SA Barrel, with all USGI parts, and a brand new dupage stock that I have given the full lindseed oil treatment.

As for performance, I am a poor shot, but I get 2in groups at 100. And have no issues hitting c sized steel at 500. I’m sure a more skilled marksman can do much better

the rifle comes with your choice of a Vietnam era nylon sling, or a reproduction 1907 sling if you prefer leather. A high quality reproduction cheek pad. (Not the cheap Amazon ones). And 6 enbloc clips.

the bayonet is a united  fork and hoe m1905 that has been cut down to 10in. And was sharpened at some point. Which I will add for an extra 150$ (they go about 250)

the scope is a Lyman Alaskan 2.5 power A model which was post war production, (correct model of scope, not correct period) in a cross hair reticle.

There are no dings or scratches in the stock as it is brand new. There are some scratches on the op rod and butplate from use. I have more pictures. These may look a little funny because of the snow but I did my best to correct the colour.

The only authentic m1c I have seen in Canada went for 8k, and I have seen them between 6-22k USD. I am only asking 4600. + shipping. Which is the cost of what it took to source parts and machine. I am open to reasonable offers, I am not interested in trades.

thanks
