Marlin 39M - Mountie 22 LR  Takedown rifle -  Young or old it's a perfect rifle to enjoy!  I can imagine it would be a young boy's dream rifle.

A 1970's vintage 22 LR rifle in nearly new condition. JM stamped and original New Haven, CT Marlin made.  Set up w/ a Bushnell 4x scope also from the 70's and in pristine condition.  Clear glass already sighted in -a tack driver. A time period Marlin JM hammer spur installed for easy cocking of the hammer.  Comes dressed w/ a leather sling for carrying and quick handling. This is a takedown version, making it easier for cleaning and storage. 

Takes 15 rounds in the tubular magazine, has a super smooth action -feeds, shoots and ejects flawlessly.  The bluing and metal are in very fine condition -virtually little to no wear, only a bit on the hammer as usual. There are a few light surface marks in the wood that are not very noticeable.  

A perfect gift and a beautiful collectable gun to pass to the next generation. A young gun in amazing condition for being almost 50 years old.
