Hello, I'm selling a Arisaka Carcano Type I Rifle, it is Italian made and used by the Japanese Imperial Navy for WW2. This is a combination of the Carcano 1891 and an Arisaka Type 38. It has the action and barrel of a Carcano and it is chambered in the original 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka, has the 2 piece stock, 5 round internal magazine, and the sighting system of the early Type 38. The bolt and receiver has markings from Fabbrica Nazionale d'Armi - Brescia. This rifle is the long buttstock version.
The rifling and internals are in good condition as shown in the images and the bullet test, the bullet used was Factory 6.5 Jap Norma ammo. It is missing the cleaning rod, ejector and has a hidden duffle cut under the front barrel band, it was previously repaired with a small dowel and glue but the glue has come loose and would need to be re-glued. The rifle has been test fired using 0.264 Speer bullet handloads at 25M with all the shots landing well without any keyholeing.
The Type I uses standard .264 rounds and not the Carcano .268 rounds.
