1942 WWII Winchester Model 94 PCMR (.30-30)
A highly collectible and remarkably original Winchester Model 94 carbine associated with the Pacific Coast Militia Rangers (PCMR) during the Second World War.
PCMR / C-Broad Arrow Markings:
The Canadian military C-Broad Arrow acceptance marking is clearly visible in all three locations associated with these PCMR rifles: the left side of the receiver, the buttstock, and the fore-end.
Serial Number:
The rifle falls within the mid-1,335,xxx serial-number range, consistent with the group of Model 94 carbines associated with the Canadian wartime PCMR procurement.
Condition & Originality:
The rifle retains an attractive, naturally aged silver/grey patina across the receiver and barrel. The wood appears original and retains the handling and service marks expected on a wartime rifle.
There are no obvious signs of refinishing or sanding, and the rifle has not been altered with modern scope-mount drill and tap holes. Its overall appearance is consistent with an example that has been allowed to age naturally rather than being cosmetically restored.
Accessories:
Accompanied by a vintage leather sling.
Overall, this is an interesting surviving example of a Canadian wartime Winchester Model 94 with desirable PCMR-associated markings and substantial originality.
