Posting my cherished FN Mauser as I shoot primarily muzzleloading now and acquiring an Austrian Lorenz to replace this so regretfully I need to sell this beautiful rifle.
Acquired from Reliable Gun. Although the receiver crest was scrubbed (beautifully I might add) the Liege proof marks narrow this down to 1951-52 manufacture and modified to 30-06 which FN and Belgium had copious amounts of. I literally have the reference book on FN Mausers by Anthony Vanderlinden signed by the author as reviewed by Forgotten Weapons. I love this gun.
Original sling with the sliding catch to attach to the butt stock swivel unique to the FN Mauser. Way better than a beat up Kar-98K or even a Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser IMO which I have owned.
Bolt, bore, receiver, barrel band and stock are pristine. Bayonet is mint. Everything works perfectly at the range.
Please no low ball offers. Only would trade for an M1854 Austrian Lorenz or the Pedersoli reproduction of it.
Shipping on buyer or pickup in Etobicoke area.
