Shortened lithgow No1 Mk3 action.

Here’s something interesting, it’s a Lithgow No1 Mk3 action that’s been shortened. They did a good job, too bad they never finished it but the receiver and bolt have been shortened. There’s no trigger/guard, just what you see. I had plans to make a single shot rifle using a pistol cartridge out of it but I’ve had this for quite some time and never got to doing that. Maybe someone else can make something from it. The 3rd pic is the action placed below a Lee Speed receiver to show length. 
I believe that this was common in Australia.
