Husqvarna 1640 carbine, 30-06

Selling a Husqvarna 1640 in 30-06.  This is already a featherweight profile stock and was a carbine length to begin with, barrel has been shortened to 19 inches.  I had previously listed it with a scope and reloading supplies but realize many folks aren’t interested in reloading and prefer their own optic choice so I’m reposting it as the rifle only (with weaver bases attached).  Of course, if you want the dies and a bunch of brass to go with it we can talk about a deal   

It weighs 6.4 pounds, no space age materials like titanium or carbon fibre needed, just a trim and short handy little rifle.  I already have a .308 and a .300 rum so it’s a bit redundant to me even as I question the wisdom of selling it.  

Stock is in great condition, has some bumps and scratches as a used older hunting rifle will, but no cracks or chips or anything like that, the tang area and buttplate are in good order.  Bluing on metal is solid and the well done.  Floor plate is scuffed and scratched cosmetically.

Mauser style controlled round feed, to-hell-and-back reliability.  The big difference between the 1640 and the m98 is the location of the slit in the bolt that rides the raceway, it is below the lugs, not right in the middle of them, which in theory is stronger.  Think of it as a small ring 98 with a better bolt design :)
