Mossberg 44 US(b) .22 Bolt Action Target Rifle

NO TRADES. Pretty clean Mossberg 44 US(b) .22 bolt action. This is the civilian version of the US military training rifles. 26 inch heavy barrel with excellent bore. Bluing looks very good. Rifle functions A1 and is accurate. Front sight set in good shape with hood and spring intact. Rear sight is the S-100 style missing the thread in aperture. Factory magazine. No cracks in the plastic trigger guard. Also comes with the proper Mossberg target sling swivels. Wood looks to have had a fast coat of varnish over it at some point. Most of it has flaked off. I think this was common in the 50’s/60’s to “protect” the finish. The stock does not look to have even been sanded. Green and red plastic Fire/Safe indicators are intact.
