NO TRADES PRICE IS FIRM. Stainless McLennan barrel was originally on an older friends custom .358 Norma Mag Win 70 build. He fired 7 rounds from the bench and that was it. Too much recoil for him so we parted it out. This Remington seven stainless was new unfired on the rack in .308. It had some light rack wear on it - see the scratches on the floor plate. Remington and custom barrel was sent to Jason Spencer at Gunco in Nepean. Barrel was rechambered to .358 Win and barrel cut to 18 inches. Barrel was profiled down to 0.650 at the muzzle. Remington sights were added. I have the sight top pieces just not in pics. I sourced an older factory walnut Seven stock in very good shape with the fore end schnabel. Factory length of pull is 13 1/2 inches. I lightly sanded the fore end inlet to fit the slightly larger barrel profile. By removing the longer chamber on the .358 Norma barrel, there was not a large diameter to fit the original barrel profile. It is of no concern except cosmetically. Since the work was done at the smith, it has not been fired. I have been delaying shooting it until I get it glass bedded. I can do it just too backed up with other work. If you want a dual dovetail Leupold steel one piece base I have a new one available for an additional $50. These are rock solid mounts. So this is a new action, barrel with 7 rounds through it (0 on this .358 Win chamber) in a nice fitting compact stock. I don’t think you can build one for my price. $1500 FIRM PLUS ACTUAL SHIPPING. PAL will be validated online with the CFC. Local pick up may be possible in Oshawa at the 401 or delivered to the Woodstock Ontario gun show Sun Sept 14.
