I am selling this Swiss 1896/11 with beautifully patterned wood as it is a spare example in my collection and would rather sell to expand. The 1896/11 is the updated conversion of 1896 rifles to the 1911 long rifle spec, including updating the receiver for the GP-11 cartridge and grafting a grip onto the stock. These rifles have a longer sight radius than the K-11 and K-31 platform and are ideal for longer distance shooting.
Bluing has been worn from use to a grey patina, there is no rust or pitting that I can see. The bore is in excellent condition as these Swiss rifles usually are, despite being over 100 years old.
No faults mechanically. Could use a good greasing before shooting however. All numbers matching.
