Why have I added more information to this post. I received a rather rambling message suggesting I was a scam artist.

Was $12,000.00  What would a rifle like this be worth in the US? The highest price I found is $40,000.00 USD. No I can not export it to the US.

The receiver of this rifle is marked with all the correct Colt "stuff". It also has the "magical" selector switch. Safe, Semi, Auto. Not to mention the "correct" internals.

Colt M16. No A's or 1's. What I mean by the previous statement is: After the Colt  M16 there is no further model information. The rifle is classed as a 12.2 prohib. If you wish to buy it as a functional rifle you must have 12.2 on your pal.

Just a bit more information regarding PALs. They come in 8 flavours, more or less.                           Non restricted, restricted. 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5, 12.6 and 12.7. The first two are self explanatory.

12.2 is full auto, 12.3 is converted full auto, 12.4 is the old prohibited order #12, 12.5 is the old prohibited order #13, 12.6 and .7 are the now useless prohibited handguns.

Years ago I spoke with Colt and they informed me that this rifle was made for a non-military user in the United States. The person who imported it to Canada bought it at an auction in the US. The rifle has had 4 Canadian owners. It is as tight as the day it left the factory.

So some of you might ask was this rifle not caught up in the May, 2020 OIC? Neither this one or the VZ58V I have for sale on this site were captured by that despicable politically motivated S"""T Storm".  Why were my M16 and VZ58V not captured by the May 1, 2020 OIC? Answer: They were already prohibited. The gic can not prohib something already prohibited. I owned 3, 12.2 Browning .50 cals. They definitely exceed 10,000 Joules. I sold the last one after May 2020.

You must have 12.2 on your XII PAL.  In Canada  fully automatic firearms were considered "Restricted" until January 1, 1978. At that time they became restricted with grandfathering. So to cut to the chase, if you (a Canadian) owned a legally registered full auto prior to the above date you are good. If a full auto was legally registered to a (Canadian) private collector prior to that date it to was good. The collectors could buy and sell their legal grandfathered firearms amongst themselves . No new private collectors or full autos were allowed.

Shown with an aftermarket butt. The original butt stock will be re-installed at no extra charge,  if the rifle sells.
