100 year old Savage Model 25 .22 Pump rifle

Vintage Savage Model 25 pump-action .22 with an octagon barrel. Serial number 17,535, likely manufactured around 1927–1928.

The action cycles mechanically and the trigger/firing pin work but I cannot get the rifle to operate properly. It is being sold strictly as a parts gun, repair project or wall hanger—not as a functioning firearm.

The Savage Model 25’s tubular magazine was generally listed as holding approximately:
