Spanish Model 1943 Mauser

Chambered in 7.92 x 57, the Spanish M1943’s are essentially K98k pattern rifles with straight bolt handles and stock grasping grooves. This example is from the La Coruna arsenal, and is dated 1949.

The bore appears bright and shiny, although some wear is apparent in the rifling; it is no longer pristine, but entirely presentable. Predictably, the bolt assembly is mismatched to the receiver  (although the bottom metal  does match). The correct cleaning rod is present, as are the trigger guard capture screws. Numerous handling marks and dents are present on the stock and hand guard, but neither have been sanded. There are no cracks. The finish of the metal surfaces has worn to a silver-light grey patina.

All components required for this rifle to operate are present and 100% functional, including the complete bolt assembly, ejector, trigger group, bolt hold open, rear sight adjustment, magazine floor, follower and spring. I have not disassembled or fired this rifle, and suggest that a competent gunsmith should examine it before use.

A three day examination period is offered. Should the rifle fail to meet your expectations, the purchase price will be cheerfully refunded upon my receipt of the undamaged rifle.
