W.J. Jeffery & Co. Very Rare Ultra Light Side by Side Upland Game Gun - 2 Inch Case Only

Very rare W.J. Jeffery ultra light weight, fast handling side by side upland game gun. Perfect gun for the grouse and woodcock season. 

12 gauge, 2" chambers, 26" barrels engraved with "W.J. Jeffery" and Golden Square, London address on top.

 Rib is inlaid in silver "For 2 inch case only" Bottom of barrel flats are stamped nitro proof for 2" chambers and 1 1/8 oz. of shot. Scallop-backed boxlock action features automatic safety and double triggers. Action is colour case hardened engraved with 60% coverage English scroll, with "W.J. Jeffery & Company Co. Ltd." in ribbon bands on each side. Scroll engraved trigger guard has S/N at grip. Very nice marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 13 1/2". Splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore restriction: Right .007", Left .009". 

Weight 5 lb 6 oz. Bores and barrel are in excellent shape. Action is very tight and barrel are tight on face.
