Winchester Model 37A Youth, .410 Bore

Winchester Model 37A Youth, .410 bore, single shot break action. Serial C1020238. 26" barrel, full choke, 2-1/2" and 3" chamber. Made at the Cobourg, Ontario Cooey plant under Winchester ownership — these are essentially Canadian-built Winchesters from the 1970s.
Good condition: bluing is honest with some thinning at the muzzle, wood is original and solid, action is tight, ejector strong, bore is bright. The shortened youth-length stock makes it ideal for a kid taking PAL course practice, a smaller-framed adult, or a backpacking pest gun.
The .410 is a forgiving round to learn on — no recoil, quiet by shotgun standards, and you can pick up Federal or Winchester #6 or #7-1/2 at any Canadian Tire. Squirrels, rabbits, grouse at close range, and yard work on rats and skunks. Light to carry. The 37A is the predecessor to literally every cheap break-action single-shot on the market and was built better than any of them.

This firearm shows honest wear, is priced accordingly, and has not been used in >40 years.
