Genuine USGI ECWCS Gen III Level 6 Extreme Cold/Wet Weather Jacket in UCP/ACU camouflage. This is the US military Level 6 shell layer, designed to provide excellent protection from wind, rain, snow, and wet weather while remaining lightweight, breathable, and highly versatile. Great for outdoor use, workwear, hunting, camping, hiking, tactical use, collecting, or everyday street wear.
This particular example is in new/unissued condition. It is clean and ready for use, with no noticeable wear from service.
The Level 6 jacket is designed as the extreme cold/wet weather outer shell in the ECWCS Gen III layering system. It can be worn over insulating layers such as the Level 3 Polartec fleece or other cold-weather layers when conditions get nasty. The lightweight shell packs down easily while providing excellent protection from rain, snow, wind, and other nasty weather.
Made from 100% nylon, this jacket is designed as a waterproof/breathable shell and is an excellent choice for keeping the elements out without adding unnecessary bulk. The full front zipper and generous cut allow it to be comfortably worn over additional layers, making it particularly useful as part of a proper cold-weather layering system.
The UCP/ACU camouflage is the original US Army Universal Camouflage Pattern used with the Gen III ECWCS system. These Level 6 jackets have become increasingly popular with military surplus collectors, outdoorsmen, hunters, hikers, airsoft/tactical users, and anyone looking for a genuinely capable wet-weather shell.
These are getting harder to find in Canada, especially in new/unissued condition, and most of the surplus available tends to be coming out of the US. Avoid the hassle, customs brokerage costs, international shipping costs, duty and tariffs that come with importing one yourself.
