I have 10 boxes of Brenneke Bear Protection Magnum 1 3/8oz slugs. Despite being 2 3/4” shells, these are loaded hotter than the Black Magic shells - delivering more energy at faster velocities. 

These are designed to be used in both smooth bore and rifled barrels. 

These rounds are expensive but they are the best you can get. Price is firm.
