Lead styphnate is vastly present in conventional cartridge primer, and bullet fouling creates airborne lead in the air. While the detriment is not as severe to adults, lead is especially toxic to young shooters who are still developing their central nervous system.

The Federal American Eagle Lead-Free cartridges are 100% lead free, family safe and children friendly as none of the components of the cartridge contains lead. It cuts off lead exposure to young shooters from the source, allowing them to enjoy the sport on a healthier setting.
