fits .30-06 cal. m1917 rifles & 12 gauge combat shotguns, ricasso marked: "1913", "7 17" & "remington" in circle, other-side has crossed out markings: crown over "c6" over "a", "u.s." stamped over crown over "??" with partial broad arrow, "x" (bend test) & "u.s.", 2-piece wood grip with two grooves, metal pommel, no visible markings, metal and leather scabbard with metal belt hooks, leather marked: "p", metal ends marked: "gf" in an oval, blade approx. 17 1/8" & oal approx. 21 7/8".
