The QBZ-191 is paired with the QKC-191 Multi-Purpose Bayonet. Compared to the older Type 95 bayonet, it features significant upgrades in both structure and practical utility, allowing it to handle obstacles like barbed wire much more efficiently.

Standard Issue: Stored inside the standard rifle transit case, with a dedicated compartment built into the inner lid.

What makes it different from the old version?
Shearing Hole: The shearing hole design was changed from a semi-circle to an isosceles triangle, preventing the blade from binding during cutting.
Spine Serrations: The spine serrations were updated to a wavy pattern with added micro-edges, making it much easier to cut ropes.
Ergonomics: The handle contours were optimized for better ergonomics, providing a more comfortable grip while being lighter than the Type 95 bayonet.
Modernized Utility: The overall design shifts toward a modern military utility tool rather than copying the structure of the US M9 bayonet like the Type 95 did.
Efficient Wire Cutting: Optimized blade apertures and serrations allow users to lock onto barbed wire and snap it effortlessly with a twist.
