ARMESO antique German hunting knife

SOLD PENDING DELIVERY Pre-war or wartime 7 1/2 inch overall length, oiled carbon steel hunting knife by ARMESO, Solingen, Germany; tight and firm stacked leather handle; tight and firm pommel nut; keen edge and the original blade profile. Deep Nordic style aftermarket sheath with a heavy welt and tip drainage hole for secure carry. ARMESO was one of the smaller pre-war Solingen knifemakers, and before and during the Second World War produced a small number daggers for the German military, but mostly, they made hunting knives. With a 3 1.2 inch blade, this would have been a bird, trout, small game and light deer knife. The rounded back on the blade makes it very comfortable to use, and the thick, modern sheath makes it comfortable and safe to carry.
