As a comparison, a USMC bolo knife in this condition is typically listed in the $350 to $450 range...I have this one priced simply to recover what I have invested in it. The included period correct green web canvas military belt is worth a minimum of $25, so there is really good value here if someone wants to take advantage of it as these are not that easy to find in Canada.

This is a very good condition, WW2 USMC Corpsman Bolo Knife. These were originally issued to the U.S. Medical Corp to use for making splints and stretchers but quickly became popular with the U.S. Marine Corps.

It has a full tang hand forged carbon steel blade stamped "USMC CHATILLON. NY" which is one of three U.S. manufacturers of these. The spine measures approximately 1/4".

This bolo knife is approximately 16 1/2" in overall length with a blade measuring approximately 11 1/2".

This a solid piece with no issues. 

The wood handle is in great shape and held in place with three (3) rivets, all original.

The original leather sheath is stamped "USMC BOYT 44".

Included is a military green canvas web belt which I believe is correct for that period based on the information I was provided when I purchased it several years ago.
