Authentic French officer’s sabre, Modèle 1822, privately purchased example retailed by S. Quillet & Cie, Paris, circa 1840–1860.

Three-bar steel hilt with original patina and clearly struck oval maker’s cartouche. Blade shows honest age-related pitting consistent with mid-19th-century service storage; no modern cleaning or polishing.

Solid construction with tight blade seating and correct peened tang. No scabbard.

A genuine officer-grade sabre from the classic French cavalry period, suitable for advanced collectors.
