FN BAR Model D 7.62 x 51mm barrel

Before I start the description of the above I will let you know that this is only one of the many parts that I have for this rifle.

The other parts are listed in the components/ miscellaneous category. I would prefer to sell all the parts as a package and I will give preference and much better prices to a "package purchaser".

So this barrel is from a BAR Model D. This rifle had the clockwork trigger assembly  that allowed for two rates of full auto fire.

The trigger assembly was the prized part. The rifle could not be imported into Canada as a full auto. The government solved this problem by having the gas system disabled leaving the "clockwork trigger assembly" intact.

 The gas ports on the barrel were welded closed the gas piston was separated from the action and the gas tube was indented. (IIRC) This was done to every rifle allowed into Canada, legally.

The above "alterations" produced a single shot bolt action rifle.

The barrel internally is in good condition. The rifling is bright and shiny with no corrosion. The exterior has some marks and has a white line painted under the cooling fins. You can also see weld marks where the gas assembly is pinned to the barrel.

Other than the parts listed in the misc. category I have no more goodies to offer.

If I read the trudung beetle BS correctly you need a PAL to buy a barrel.
