Lyman Tang Peep Sight

The sight is marked“Lyman Reg US Pat Off” and the lower part of the barrel is marked “Pat Jul 25.05 – Oct 15.07”

It has the fold down aperture which works as intended.

The elevation adjustment seems to provide less movement than I would expect but I have no experience with these sights so I don’t know how much there should be.

 The front screw hole on the base has been welded and filed. It was obviously broken at some time.The filing has removed the letters that would have identified which guns this sight was designed for.

The distance between the 2 mounting holes is approximately 1.1” center to center,
