For auction is a new, historically accurate P08 32rd 9mm Luger Schneckentrommel/Trommelmagazin/Trommel/Snail Drum magazine, originally designed in WWI for use with German storm troopers.

Blued steel with light wear along the box magazine wall, no damage, functions as it should.  Comes with a new, equally historically accurate loading tool as well as an English instruction manual translated from the original 1917 manual.    Manual is like new.

The snail drum plays a pivotal role in the history of carbine and submachine gun development.  Authentic drum magazines are getting more scarce and prohibitedly expensive.  Though not your cheapest magazine, this is something you won't feel guilty bringing to the range and getting some dirt on, or can be a great display placeholder until a period example comes along.  Also great for re-enactors.

The P08 snail drum is one of the few magazines you can legally own and operate that is exempt from the capacity regulations:

"(3) Paragraph (1)(b) does not include any cartridge magazine that

(a) is of the “snail-drum” type (schneckentrommel) that was originally designed or manufactured for use in a firearm that is a handgun known as the Parabellum-Pistol, System Borchardt-Luger, Model 1900, or “Luger”, or any variant or modified version of it, including the Model 1902, Model 1904 (Marine), Model 1904/06 (Marine), Model 1904/08 (Marine), Model 1906, Model 1908 and Model 1908 (Artillery) pistols;"
