I have screws to fit your bottom metal for any custom or factory Remington 700 Pattern receiver! These are NOT for factory BDL/ADL bottoms metal. These screws are for the AICS Bottoms metal used on custom precision / hunting rifles. They are SOCKET Cap screws and NOT tapered to fit the Remmy factory bottom metals. Not even the Magpul HUNTER for the 700 rifle will agree with these screws. If you happen to have a Magpul PRO chassis, the YES, you will need TWO of these shorter 1” screws and cut them down to 1/2” shank.
Some of you will declare it’s easier to visit Home Depot and find these. Good luck with that. The sizes are as follows; 1/4” x 28 tpi x 1” front screw AND 1/4” x 28 x 1 1/2” rear screw! Some Fastener shops will sell you these screws but ya gotta buy minimum 50 count of them. That’s what I did, and this way for $6 EMT’ed to me, you get a single PAIR shipped to you. I might make a profit of 45 cents after buying stamps and envelopes to mail this pair to you. Not even a coffee for my efforts….sounds like the volunteering I do at my Gun Club! LOL
Before you buy these, message me first and let me know what you are building and which stock/chassis and which bottom metal you are employing. Ive actually had people buy them and discover these screws were not for their factory setup
Factory screws can be bought at Gravel Agency for $9 each screw plus taxes and shipping! How do you like me so far? How can you tell I’ve done this route before?
For $6 you get a pair of screws and you will have to CUT 2 or 1 thread off to prevent bolt lug binding with YOUR custom build/chassis/ bottom metal combination! Welcome to custom rifle building , this ain’t an AR platform! You will have to do some trimming to tweak everything to fit your project!
Additional pairs of screws can be purchased or added to your first pair for another $3 I will cover the untracked and uninsured mailing in a small padded envelope. If you want racking and insurance, add another $15
Examine the pictures and see what trimming you might have to do! I’ve photographed a pair of Badger Ordnance screws for comparison….2 threads are usually what most clients of mine have had to do!
