Ruger 10/22 original walnut stock

This is a take-off stock from a 1978 carbine. One of the last walnut years but has a plastic buttplate. I have refinished it with tru-oil and also reshaped it to help with the usual sloppy factory fit at butt and receiver. The only "bad" thing is that the buttplate wants to sit with a gap between it and the stock as shown in one of the pictures. The wood has very interesting colour variation and unique grain. Does not include barrel band or stock screw.
