London Colt 1851 navy Upper Canada marked in .36 cal cap & ball. Overall condition is decent for age. Almost all of the bluing has worn to silver or patina. Some slop in half cock, but locks up very strong in full cock. Bore has strong rifling, but is a little dirty. There are two distinct rings in the bore approximately halfway. Chambers are good and so are the nipples. Some pitting near muzzle. Grip marked U – C with a G below that, and a four below that. Indicating Napanee. Unfortunately, serial numbers are mismatched. Fortunately, they are from other upper Canada colts. This is indicated in “The Canadian Journal of arms collecting”, volume six, number two, 1968. Main frame and barrel are 34456. Trigger guard is 33261. Backstrap and cylinder are 33205.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional pictures of any specific part of the firearm. Serial matching, better condition examples can go north of $5000 often getting close to $10,000.
