Antique status 1851 Colt Navy percussion revolver in .36 caliber with 7-1/2” barrel. This example is an early fourth model with the larger trigger guard. This numbers matching revolver was manufactured in 1861, which puts it at the start of the American Civil War.
Internals on this example are pristine. The springs are strong, the timing is perfect, the cylinder locks up tight and there is no barrel end shake. Percussion nipples were replaced with reproduction stainless steel replacements. Sharp cylinder scene and intact safety pins.
The finish has traces of case colour on the frame and hammer. The balance is a beautiful grey with bluing in protected areas. Minimal pitting on the exterior of the gun, no active oxidation is present.
Bore has some pitting and dark spots but retains distinct rifling.
This is shootable collectors piece; it’s rare to come across a Colt Navy in this condition in Canada.
No PAL is required, just proof of minimum age of 18.
Shipping is available Canada wide at buyer’s expense or can do local meetup in the Calgary area.
