This is a once in a lifetime find, matching "brother" pair of .41 Colt Single Action Army revolvers that have been together since 1894, with a Colt historian factory archive letter showing they shipped together to Simmons Hardware Co. in St. Louis, Missouri on November 5, 1894. To make things even more impressive these revolvers are documented, as a pair, on page 236 of the "Colt Peacemaker Encyclopedia" 2nd volume by Keith Cochrane. Both are in beautiful shape, with flawless mechanics and clean steel; a once-in-a-lifetime find. Being pre-1898 antiques, these handguns can still be purchased in Canada, requiring no registration or licensing. As a collector, I would love for this pair of twins that has been together for over 130 years to stay that way in the hands of an owner that will see the historical, collectible, and asthetic value of preserving this history. Feel free to call or message to discuss further.

Comes with factory letter, .41 caliber ammo belt, and box of cowboy action .41 Colt ammo from Rustywood Trading Co.

I am happy to provide any and all details, close-ups, and videos requested for a discerning collector but I will try to describe condition here.

Both are incredibly well cared for. Mechanically excellent with all 4 distinct Colt clicks through the 5 hammer positions. They are true to factory spec, with original .41 colt chambering, 4 3/4" barrels showing strong, defined rifling, original grips, and remains of original blued finish in protected areas and case hardening colours on the hammers.

The one with lower serial has more original finish remaining, with prominent blueing on the barrel, ejector housing, butt, trigger guard, and back strap. The higher serial example still retains some blue but has seen a bit more time in use, with slight holster wear on the high points of the grip and scattered wear marks on the cylinder. Chambers and cylinder faces are clean and smooth as the day they were made.

I am frequently between Calgary and Vancouver and can meet face to face or else ship. For buyer confidence, if shipping I will allow a 3 day non-firing inspection period after receipt of package to allow full return/refund if anything is not up to expectation. Payment by email transfer, cash, or partial trade gold/silver considered.

No PAL required, 18+
