This is an example of the British made Adams m/1872 revolver. The Adams M/1872 solid frame revolver was made by John Adams, brother of Robert Adams who invented the first practical self-cocking (double action) revolver - the Beaumont-Adams. This 1872 is a slightly improved centerfire adaptation of the Beaumont-Adams. This example shoots .44 webley/.44 Russian in single or double action with great reliability. I can refer you to resources to load .44 Russian antique load, which can also be made using .44 special or .44 magnum cut down brass. You can buy this revolver with no registration or licensing if over the age of 18.

This piece is in strong mechanical shape. All aspects function as intended including the action, timing, cylinder, loading gate, ejector rod, and cylinder pin removal system. It works great in single and double action with a solid lockup when firing (almost no wiggle). The lanyard ring (which screws in and is often lost over time) is still present.

This handgun has been very harshly sanded down and cleaned, and very few of the original markings remain. The cylinder and cylinder pin show the serial numbers "075". The barrel is approx 5" and shows minimal to no rifling. The hardwood grips are very solid and show nice grain.
