Howdy Gunpost! I've got a Model 1870 Gasser Revolvers for sale! This revolver has been extensively gun-smithed and is now in good working order. This is a Leopold Gasser revolver made in Austria. This is an original not Belgian made clones. It is chambered in the 11.3x36mmR cartridge (often called 11mm Montenegrin). Which is essentially a charged reduced Werndl rifle cartridge! Brass can be made fairly easily by fire-forming 7.62x54R brass. The barrel length is7.3 inches. These are truly massive and heavy pistols. They were cavalry pistols meant to be carried on a saddle holster on a horse.
These revolvers are fairly scarce today on the North-American collector market, and are usually in very poor condition and more often than not missing parts. There are lots of fine and delicate little bits protruding everywhere on these revolvers and they're quite heavy, so dropping them often resulted in broken and difficult to replace parts. Both revolvers were missing their ejector rods and I had to have them fabricated. The smaller 7.3 inch revolver was missing the hammer safety block (tear drop shaped thing on the sight of the frame) and required a lot of hand fitting to function properly. The grips on the 7.3 are also obviously not original. Overall they're in Good condition and function mechally well.

The Gassers are located in Calgary, Alberta. I am offering free expedited Canada Post shipping with $100 insurance to the buyer. Any additional insurance is the buyer's expense to bear.
