Antique WEBLEY .476 "WG" MODEL 1892 - the back strap is engraved: F.E.W. BUTT WEST INDIA REGIMENT. The revolver is nickel plated and sports a 6 inch barrel with a very nice bore - and has excellent mechanics. trigger smooth like butter. The grip straps show much wear to the nickel finish - the rest of the revolver has ~ 95% nickel finish left. I have only done very basic research on Captain Frank Ernest Wilhelm BUTT - he served with the WEST INDIA REGINENT (Jamaica) as an Officer for 9 years, and then in WW1 with the C.E.F. as a sapper. This revolver was retailed by YORK HOUSE, Regent Street London (a.k.a. the Junior A&N store) - and is 100% honest & original. I DO NOT have Capt. Butt's Medal grouping - that picture is a copy of the sales report, which I came upon during research.
