Selling an antique French 1892 revolver in 8mm lebel. This is a rare first year of production, made in 1892.
Revolver is mechanically great, working exactly as it should with exceptional old world craftsmanship with a vault lockup. It maintains most of its original finish with strawing still showing through.
One part I’m unsure about is there may be a small bulge midway down the barrel. The rifling is nice inside, however there may be a faint ring visible inside the bore and I think I can feel a small bulge running my hand midway on the barrel. To this end I’ve included a replacement French model 1892 barrel as well with good rifling.
A bit more about the 1892, this is one of the most modern, technologically advanced antiques out there with ammo available. It has a flip out cylinder and is one of the last designs to be produced before the antique cutoff. A gorgeous piece of history, with the uncertainty about a minor bulge in the barrel I’m asking $2850.
