This is an original WWII era Liberator pistol manufactured by General Motors. It was designed to be dropped behind enemy lines as an insurgency weapon.

They came in a waxed cardboard box with no branding or hint of origin and also included the cartoon like instruction sheet, again with no watermark or hint of manufacturer.

It's an extremely accurate 45 ACP single shot pistol. OMG just kidding - NO IT IS NOT.

It has no rifling whatsoever but I have shot it and managed to hit the target (meaning the entire piece of paper from about 5 yards. After shooting it I could just imagine a German SS officer looking started and then pissed off as a 45 slug tumbled by his head from a shooter about 10 feet away.

Anyways this is a very rare piece of military history and you almost never see one with the box (although this one is torn open) and the cool instruction sheet.

Btw someone started making reproductions of these a few years back. This isn't a shiny new reproduction. Its a 1942 original.

Really hate to let this one go tbh.
